Our practice supports children in fine motor skill development, sensory processing, and tic management.
Fine motor skills are the ability to make movements using the small muscles in our hands and wrists. They include writing, keyboarding, scissor use, and self-care.
Sensory processing is organizing and responding to information that comes in through the senses. We all experience some sensory information that we do not like or that we crave. When this interferes with our ability to function or make an adaptive response, an occupational therapist can help with strategies and accommodations.
Jenny is trained in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) through the Tourette Association of America.

Jenny is the owner of Strong Hands Calm Body. She has been an occupational therapist for 29 years and has worked with children for her entire career. Jenny has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California. She has worked in a variety of settings, including sensory integration clinics, school districts, and private practices.
